How is Readiness Score calculated for rules ?

Readiness score is a measure that identifies data quality in terms of percentage of clean, meaningful data among coarse records.  It gives a precise overview to the managers and helps them to take relevant decisions.

Readiness score is calculated based on different types of rules. The chart below describes how the score is calculated for each of DvSum rules.

Validation Rule Readiness Score Calculation
  • Count
  • Count distinct
  • SUM

1) If results are less than or same as threshold minimum, and threshold minimum is zero, then readiness score is 100 %.

2) If results are less than or same as threshold minimum, then readiness score is (results/Threshold minimum) *100.

3) If results are greater than or same as 2 times of threshold maximum. Then readiness score is zero.

4) If results are greater than or same as threshold maximum. Then readiness score is (1 - (results thresholdmax) / thresholdmax) * 100

  1. If there are no exceptions, then readiness score is 100%.
  2. If there are exceptions, then readiness score percentage is calculated as (total records – exception records) *100 / (total records).
  • CUSTOM QUERY

  1. If there are no exceptions, then readiness score is 100%.
  2. If there are exceptions, then readiness score percentage is calculated as (total records – exception records) *100 / (total records).
  3. If the total record count is less than the custom query count, then readiness score will be set to 0%.

1) If results are less than or same as reference result, then readiness score is (result/reference result) *100

2) If results are greater than or same as 2 times of reference result. Then readiness score is zero.

3) If results are greater than or same as reference result. Then readiness score is (1 - (results – reference result)/ reference result) * 100.

  • Runtime Elapsed

1) (Difference in the minutes/Threshold) rounded to two digits.

2) (Rounded result -1)*100

3) If the result from step 2 is not between 0 and 100, then readiness score is 0, else the readiness score is equal to step 2.

Rule Count Readiness Score at Dashboard Level:

The "Rule Count Readiness Score" will be calculated as, (1- (Rules which are failed or exceptions)/(Total rules present))
Example:
Lets say there are 50 Rules in the Source, and among those rules 45 are passed and 5 are failed or having exceptions, then "Rule count Readiness Score " will be 90%
