What is Multi-SAWS?

DvSum provides you the capability to configure more than one web-service in your account. Your company might have multiple databases which can use multiple SAWS running on your local machine or on a remote server. You can also set up multiple SAWS on your local machine using unique ports.

Go to Administration tab >> Manage Account >> SAWS tab

Step 1:

Download the SAWS zip file from top right and copy it to the location (local or remote machine) you want your Web-service to run on. Unzip and extract the folder to a permanent location. (e.g. c:\dvsum or /opt/dvsum) .  Below is how the extracted web-service folder should look like.

Step 2:

Double-click DvSum.jar to start the stand-alone web-service. It takes 5-10 seconds for it to get started. To verify open Task Manager and search for a process with name java.exe or javaw.exe

Step 3:

Configure the SAWS you downloaded with the application by clicking on “Add” button. Here you will enter the Name, Host Name/IP and Port for the configuration of web-service. Similarly, you can add multiple SAWS.

When the SAWS is successfully added and executing, the red status cloud turns green. Same way you can add multiple Saws with their Host Name and IP.

This completes the configuration for Web-service!
