Foundational DQ - Custom Query

The "CUSTOM QUERY" rule provides the capability to create and execute custom SQL queries.

For example, this rule allows users to write and execute any custom SQL query tailored to their specific data analysis requirements. Whether it involves complex data transformations, advanced analytics, or tailored reporting, the custom query rule empowers users to utilize the full potential of SQL for their data processing needs.

Detailed Steps:

Step 1:  Log in to DvSum and proceed to the Data Dictionary tab and select the relevant Data source and Table Name.

Step 2:  Select the table name then select the Data Quality tab and choose Available Rules.

 

Step 3: Select the "⊕ Add Rule" button, then choose the "Foundational DQ" category. From the list of options, click on "Custom Query"

Step 4: Basic Input

In the Rule Wizard's Basic Input section, you need to fill in the Rule Description and Custom Query, corresponding to the table in which you want to search for results.

Step 5: Validate

After saving the rule, you'll see its definition. Click "Run" to execute and test the rule.
